In 1997 the publications committee started editing The Vendorscope.

1997-1998

Ione Miller, CA, compiled and edited the information for the publication of The “Trail of the Advocate” book, which contains the history of the Randolph-Sheppard Program and RSVA from 1967-1990.

1979-1997
Paul Verner asked Dean Flewwellin in 1979 to become the third Editor. On April 12, 1997, 18 years later, "Mean Dean" resigned as the Editor of The “Vendorscope”. When Dean became the Editor he enlisted the help of the South Dakota Library to produce the tape edition of The “Vendorscope”. Dean compiled and edited approximately 69 issues of The “Vendorscope” over 18 years and did a magnificent job. Most people do not realize the time and dedication taken for each issue of The “Vendorscope”. Dean would read research and write most articles that were published in The “Vendorscope”. Dean did not have a computer until 1996. He typed and edited each issue with a typewriter.

1977-1979
The second Editor was Byrdyna Goodart (CA) she was the Editor of The Vendorscope from July 1977 until June of 1979. She edited six issues.

1971-1977
first Editor: Ione Miller,CA; compiling and editing 22 issues until June of 1977. Her assistants: David Hanlon, CA; Marilyn and Ed Donnelly, WA; and Richard and Karen Perzentka, WI. (Ione also compiled the information for the publication: “Trail of the Advocate”
which contains the history of the Randolph-Sheppard Program and RSVA.)

1971-1972
The first two issues of The “Vendorscope” were published in The Braille Forum, one in September of 1971 and the second in March of 1972. The title of the first article was "Just to Telavendor". The third issue of The “Vendorscope” was published separately from The Braille Forum.
